Navigating Life's Sliding Scale: Finding Balance

The last few weeks of travel stress + personal / family / professional responsibilities + menopause took a serious toll on my health. Especially this past weekend when I pushed myself to the edge trying to perfectly fulfill all my social commitments. Thanks to ONE kind hand, I didn't fall on the other side.
This is how imbalanced the 6 pillars of my lifestyle are:
Eating: overall healthy, but exceeding my metabolic needs
Exercise: insufficient
Sleep: poor, at all 3 levels (quantity, quality, consistency)
Stress management: skipping yoga and meditation
Toxin avoidance: too much sugar and caffeine
Social connections: in abundance and valuable, yet can be consuming
It is very important to recognize the disorder and the symptoms of burnout. Then it is mandatory to take immediate action.

Just as a medical insulin sliding scale helps regulate blood sugar, we can use a personal sliding scale to manage our emotions and behavior, bringing harmony back into our lives.
These are some of my personal restorative interventions to restore my equilibrium:
Digital detox (obviously not as I write this)
Counting my blessings
Self-patience, self-acceptance and self-compassion
Mindfulness - keep my head and my body in one place
Prioritizing - Eisenhower Matrix (my favorite)
Setting clear boundaries
Scheduled "me" time (the forest is calling)
Use my brain, feel my heart, listen to my gut instinct
Green light to creativity

Our needs are valid!
Be real, use your HUMAN intelligence and do not hesitate to ask for help and speak up about your struggles (of course, with consideration for others and respect for your personal space).
For me, HARMONY is a daily purpose, a delicate treasure, hard to get and easy to lose.
