Ikigai, the "reason for being", is a powerful Japanese concept that holds deeply personal significance. For the last few years, Ikigai has been a guiding source of inspiration on a path of self-reflection and exploration that taught me patience, perseverance, self-trust, love and compassion. It empowered me to pursue my dreams and to recognize that purpose is not a final destination, but a way of living.
The Four Pillars of Ikigai
Ikigai is most commonly illustrated through a Venn diagram of four overlapping circles:
What you love: Your passions and interests.
What you are good at: Your skills, talents, and expertise.
What the world needs: Societal and community needs you resonate with.
What you can get paid for: Professions and roles offering financial compensation.

The harmonious blend of these four elements, at their intersection, represents your Ikigai – a fulfilling journey towards a life of purpose.
It is never too late to unlock your Ikigai!
